Local Boy does good.....

The perennial "good guy", actor Andy Devine ,

grew up in Kingman, Arizona. An exhibit of memorabilia for his life and acting career.

DIORAMAS AND M URAL

A Visual History.....

The Museum lobby houses dioramas and a mural illustrating the story of early settlement and development of this area.

INDIAN C RAFTS

Heritage of Art.....

Hopi Kachina dolls, Indian basketry, pottery, and other crafts and historic clothing help tell the story of northwest Arizona.

INDIAN R OOM

Home and Hearth.....

The Indian Room and the Mohave Village portray the centuries old way of life of the local Hualapai and Mohave Indians.

KINGMAN A RMY AIRFIELD

WWII History.....

Thirty six thousand gunners trained at the Kingman Army Airfield during World War Two.

OUTDOOR D ISPLAY

Came the Settlers.....

The Outdoor Display features wagons, mining equipment, farm machinery, a 19th century wooden Santa Fe Railway caboose, and a re-creation of an early Arizona "Front Street".

TURQUOISE D ISPLAY

Prized Ornament.....

A display of carved Kingman Turquoise. A treasured mineral for ancient Indian civilizations and today's collectors.

U.S. PRESIDENTS & F IRST LADIES

Portraits of History.....

Portraits of the United States Presidents and their Ladies are displayed in the Auditorium. They are the works of artist Lawrence Williams.
