Beverly L
unger
Beverly Lunger, a native Kansan with a Chippewa heritage,
moved to Southern California in 1958, and to Arizona in 1988. She and
her husband moved to Kingman in 1990. She has a studio/gallery at her
residence called Art and Decor Studio.
She has been creative since childhood, exploring various art
and craft forms. As an adult she decided to fulfill a youthful dream
to be an artist. She experienced formal instruction from several exceptional
artists/teachers spending a period of years with each one, and attending
numerous seminars and workshops. She paints in oil, acrylic, watercolor,
and mixed media. She delights in experimenting and exploring new ways
to express her creativity.
She has been involved with various art associations, juried
shows and received many awards and ribbons. She is currently a member
of the Mohave Artists and Craftsmen Guild of Kingman. She is past president
and founder of the Placentia Art Association in Placentia, California and
was awarded an Honorary Life-Membership in that organization. She
was appointed by the city of Placentia to serve as president of the Cultural
Arts Committee and to serve also as their representative on the Patrons of
the Arts at Fullerton College in Fullerton, California. The city of
Placentia presented her a Commendation Award for her contribution to the
advancement of the arts. Her art is included in numerous private and
corporate collections throughout the United States and several foreign countries.

One of her goals is to interpret the beauty of the world through
her art, so that the viewer's perception of their world might be expanded
in a deeper and broader dimension. She is inspired daily by the beauty
of the Southwest.
