REVOKED LICENSE - BEAVER DAM Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Jose Raymundo Medina, 34, Mesquite, Nev., Tuesday (10/9) afternoon for driving with a revoked driver's license. Medina was a suspect in an assault in Utah and was stopped about 1:30 pm on Highway 91 at milepost 8 by Washington County Sheriff's deputies. MCSO deputies were called to the scene and a record check showed Medina's Nevada driver's license had been revoked. He was taken into custody and booked without incident into jail in Mesquite. Additional charges stemming from the original incident in Utah are pending.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT - KINGMAN Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Jeremy Darrell Rowley, 26, Kingman, Tuesday (10/9) evening for misdemeanor disorderly conduct / domestic violence. Rowley reportedly returned to his residence in the 3600 block of Ryan Avenue about 9:00 pm intoxicated and began shouting at his live-in girlfriend and threw the telephone on the floor. He was taken into custody at about 9:30 pm and booked into the Mohave County jail in Kingman.
PHONE SCAM - MOHAVE COUNTY Mohave County Sheriff's detectives in the Mohave Valley area have received inquiries regarding telephone solicitors claiming to be "Mohave County Sheriff's Narcotics Detectives" asking for donations. The Mohave County Sheriff's Office does not solicit donations from the public. Anyone receiving any telephone solicitation for money should ask for a name, address, and toll-free telephone number to call and verify their authenticity. A legitimate company will understand your concerns and cooperate.
ACCIDENTAL SHOOTING - WHITE HILLS Lonnie Ray Woolever, 42, Kingman, told Mohave County Sheriff's deputies he woke up Tuesday (10/9) morning and realized he had shot himself, accidentally… the night before. Woolever said he had been cleaning a Jennings .22 caliber semi-automatic pistol at his father's residence in White Hills on Monday night at about 7:00 pm when the gun accidentally discharged. He said he noticed powder burns on his stomach, but didn't know he had been shot until Tuesday morning when he noticed a bruise and felt a "solid object" under his skin. Woolever drove himself to Kingman Regional Medical Center where doctors removed the bullet, treated the wound, and released him. No charges were filed.
FELONY WARRANT - BULLHEAD CITY Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Travis Brent Martin, 25, Bullhead City, Tuesday (10/9) morning on a felony warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court for probation violation. Deputies learned of the warrant and that Martin was staying at a motel in the 1900 block of Highway 95. At about 2:00 am, deputies contacted two women at the motel room where Martin had been staying, but were told he was not there and attempted to keep deputies out. Martin was found under the bed and was taken into custody and booked into the Mohave County jail in Kingman. The incident remains under investigation.
FELONY ASSAULT - KINGMAN Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Tamara Sue Long, 36, Kingman, Tuesday (10/9) afternoon for aggravated assault/ domestic violence, and two counts of misdemeanor assault. During an argument about 2:00 pm at her residence in the 3000 block of Northfield, Long reportedly struck and pushed two adult female neighbors, and struck her 14-year-old daughter several times in the face and arm. Injuries to the three victims were minor. Long was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Mohave County jail. The incident remains under investigation.
LOST AND FOUND - KINGMAN A Kingman man is home, safe, after being reported missing, Tuesday (10/9) night. The mother of George Ernest Polamer, 51, Kingman, called the Mohave County Sheriff's Office when Polamer hadn't returned home by dinner time. She told searchers he said he was going to check on some mines in the Chloride area and might go to Laughlin, but said he'd be home early in the evening and had his cellular telephone with him. When calls to his cell phone went unanswered, MCSO Search and Rescue coordinators located tire tracks from Polamer's 1996 Mazda pickup truck near a mine in the Mineral Park area, but were unable to locate the vehicle or Polamer. At about 4:00 am, Wednesday (10/10) Polamer called the MCSO when he returned home from Laughlin and learned he was the object of a search.
INJURY CRASH - DOLAN SPRINGS Three people were injured Monday (10/8) night in a single-vehicle rollover on White Hills Road. The driver of the vehicle, Robert Lee Curtis, 22, of Boulder City, Nev., told Mohave County Sheriff's Traffic Accident investigators he was travelling about 65 mph down White Hills Road at about 9:30 pm when the vehicle skidded and rolled. Two passengers, Velma Eileen Farris, 22, and Austin James Young, 3, also of Boulder City, Nev., were transported to Las Vegas University Medical Center with undisclosed injuries. Both were listed in serious condition. He said the child was wearing a seatbelt, but Farris was not. Curtis suffered possible hip and leg injuries and was being treated at Kingman Regional Medical Center. The incident remains under investigation. Speed is believed to be a factor.
