Henriette Single

Winter

My name is Henriette Single, I was born in 1959. My two children, my husband and I live in a small village in the most southern part of Germany. The way I see it I fell ill with MCS twelve years ago, mostly from amalgam and wood preservatives in our newly built house. I was also painting with oil and that worsened my condition. My state of health is not very good at the moment.

What I show here are paintings from the time I was still able to use oil colors. I prefer to paint landscapes, but I also try to find other topics. In the last years I had to change to pastels and aquarelle colors. I force my body to accept pastels and aquarelle colors once a week, but I am  looking for colors that are more tolerable for me. My life is so restricted that I cannot imagine to completely leave the painting. I regard myself as having an average talent and I never had a teacher for my arts. I love to paint in every kind of mood; it calms me. I find my motifs everywhere. Some times in calendars, sometimes in a photograph or on a walk. Painting really means a lot to me. I am dreaming of a possibility of earning something with my paintings in the future.
