Bill Ekstrom

Bill Ekstrom is a third generation Arizonan who was born and raised in Phoenix and moved to Mohave County in 1976.  He has served as the County Attorney for Mohave County since 1979.  Bill's interest in photography began during his years at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff when he spent weekends hiking or driving the backroads and backwoods of Northern Arizona.

I have enjoyed doing primarily landscape photography, but I have been taking more people pictures since Dianne and I have been blessed with our children Hillary and Haydon.  Arizona is an incredibly beautiful State and offers many opportunities for photographers both professional and amateur.  I believe some of the best photographs I've taken have been with instamatic or other simple cameras while hiking the mountains above Flagstaff, Kingman or in the Grand Canyon.  Even now I prefer a single reflex camera and am somewhat intimidated by the many automatic features offered on the more sophisticated equipment.  Because of job and family demands it is often difficult to find time for a creative outlet and photography offers a fairly quick and easy outlet for that energy.  It also gives me something beautiful and special to share with my friends and family.  I hope that you enjoy this sampling of my photographs.
